Happy Birthday Sir & Joi

Today is the birthday of my immediate boss and co-officemate here in our department. Certainly, it would be a busy day for us here. Our boss will be having a birthday celebration this lunchtime at the conference room. Our boss ordered many foods to be served for employees who will attend the celebration. We will be preparing all the things needed for the birthday celebration. 

To my boss: A very Happy Birthday to a great mentor and a wonderful person. Wishing you success and happiness always!

To Joi: Sending birthday blessings, filled with love and peace and joy. Wishing sweetest things happen, right before your eyes today that is your birthday! Happy Birthday!!!

Today is Christmas Day. It is the time that we commemorate the birth of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ. Christmas is celebrated around the world with thanksgiving and gladness. We should always remember that love is the best gift that we can show and give to one another. This is the true spirit of Christmas Season.

Lord Jesus, our Father, we wish you a very Happy Birthday!!! On the occasion of your birthday, take away the sins, the misery, the disease from whole world, shower your blessings over the entire globe and spread the wings of love to all......... A Blessed Christmas to all! This  is the day we have longed for, and for which we have been preparing during these past four weeks - the commemoration of the earthly birth of God's eternal Son. No words can express the importance of that event in the history of humankind as well as our personal lives. In all truth we can say that, after the birth of Jesus Christ, nothing and nobody has been the same as before, for in him God has become a brother to every human being in the fullest sense. God's incarnate Son has come to share our problems, worries, and aspirations that we might share God's peace and God's very life. My Sister's Wedding

Wedding day is one of the biggest days in every woman's life. It is also one of the cherished memories in everyone's life. It is the important day in the life of a couple and marks the perfect occasion to wish them for their new beginning.

It was a very fine and memorable day of September 18, 2010 when my sister Arlene, the oldest in our siblings tied the knot in our hometown - in the province of Aklan. It was only a civil wedding celebration but it seems like a church or garden wedding.

I wasn't able to come to her wedding due to some personal reason. I'm grateful that she understood. I know she'd wished that we're there but then the event was great and I'm happy for them. And ...

Mama Mary's Birthday

Today, September 8, the world is celebrating the birthday of our dearest and greatest Mother of all, Mama Mary. I feel the joy and peace in my heart as I confidently know that you will always there to guide us as we embark on the journey of life. I thank you for all the intercessions and answered prayers you've given me and to the rest of my family and circle of friends. May we always look upon you as our model of having a big heart in all ways. 

As we celebrate Mother Mary's birthday today, may we always be reminded that our life is the rare and best gift God has given to us. May our love for Mama Mary bring us all to the realization  that there is a God who cares and loves us in such a way that is unimaginable and imponderable. In spite of our own flaws and unworthiness, we are truly sure of His undying love for us.

"Ber" Months are Here: Countdown Begins

As the month of September kicks off, the Christmas countdown for us Filipinos begin. We can hear Christmas songs played on some radio stations, in the mall or even at home. Others start to buy Christmas decors and decorating it at home. Malls and other commercial establishments start in preparing and selling some products intended for Christmas season. But still Christmas here in Philippines traditionally begins on December 16, the start of simbang gabi or dawn masses.

I just don't know why I feel a bit of loneliness whenever I hear Christmas song. Perhaps, it's normal to feel this day especially when you're far from your family. Another thing for sure is I don't have special someone this time to spend with on that special day. But still I have to look forward on it and keep the true spirit of Christmas alive in my heart.

Michelle's Despedida Party

 She's Michelle, a staff nurse here in the hospital. We became friends and have been close since November 2007 when my father underwent a prostate operation. That's how our friendship started and the rest is history.

I was a bit surprised and sad when I knew that she filed a resignation. But the feeling of happiness topped it all because her dream of working abroad turned into a reality. She will be leaving tomorrow bound for New Zealand. But before she bids goodbye, she threw a despedida party last evening of August 19 held at Barrackz Bar & Restaurant at Tomas Morato corner Timog.

It was a great despedida party. It turned out into unforgettable evening and a memorable one. It was a fun time and we left the bar after midnight. We hugged her and it was the tightest hug we'd for her. We wish her all the Best. It's not goodbye, just "until we meet again."

Happy Birthday, Roni!

Blue is the favorite color of my dear friend Roni. She is celebrating her birthday today. She's having a vast celebration now with her beloved better half at Tagaytay. It is the best time for them to enjoy and capture the magnificent beauty and amazing view of Taal Volcano. And of course, it is the best relaxing treat for their disturbed body and mind.  They will feel refreshed extraordinarily when they feel the cooler climate and fresher environment of the place.

Roni is one of the great friends I've ever known. Nothing can compare to her awesome personality particularly to the boundless friendship we had planted in our heart that blossoms day by day. There is a blessing that's rare and a precious gift that gold cannot buy. That's the gift of a wonderful person coming into my life. And that is, no other than, my dear friend Roni.

Jollitown Bday Invitation

These are the 7th birthday party invitations of Cedie, son of Gelvin and Aieen. His party celebration will be held on August 28 at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon at Jollibee Regalado, Fairview, Quezon City. The party's theme is Jollitown, a magical place. This is where Jollibee and his friends Hetty, Yum, Popo, and Twirlie live.

I feel great when I had finished my task in designing, printing name tag and pasting individual names on the invitation. The invitation is now ready for pick-up and distribution. ♥♥♥

Today, August 8, Mam Cadion is celebrating her birthday. She is my former college professor (the best and my only fave) and our thesis adviser during our college days at URSB. I just don't know why it's been very usual for me in remembering her birthday every year, maybe because I'm already accustomed to it. The last time we've met if I'm not mistaken was during our graduation.

Yesterday, I greeted her in advance and glad she replied. She thanked me and had some updates about ourselves. She is now pursuing her masteral's degree at URST and looking forward to her comprehensive exam next semester. I congratulated her for the best effort she did and I gave her "two thumbs up" on her way to success and accomplishment.

Last June 29, 2010, I went to my cousin's house at Cogeo, Antipolo City to be a part of the simple birthday celebration of Aunt Liza. After we had our sumptuous dinner, we paused for awhile and then videoke party begun. The girls have had their wine while hard drink for the boys. I wasn't able to take many photos but anyway I have enjoyed the party.

The following day, we went to Mall of Asia just to unwind and explore the place even just for a while. The three boys (Gene, Greg & Gerome) chose to have a practice driving there because of the wide open roads wherein you can drive safely. We roamed inside the mall looking for something we need. Until after then, we decided to dine at Max's Restaurant located at Metro Robinsons near Sta. Lucia Mall. We experienced the chicken-eat-all-you-can promo at Max's for P165.00 only.
